Dental Assistant

Current Dental Assistant opportunities include per diem, part-time, and full-time opportunities within our Pediatric and Adult departments across our Needham, Franklin, and Bedford, Massachusetts locations. Dental Assistants applying to our Pediatric department must be either Formally Trained or DANB Certified.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of dental assisting duties to promote quality dental care for our patients consistent with the caring philosophy of Chestnut Dental.  All responsibilities are to be performed with accuracy, efficiency, and a team-oriented emphasis.  Follows universal precautions, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.  Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and adequate vision required in daily work.

What we ask of our Talented Assisting Team:

  • Current Dental Assisting License issued by the Board of Registration in Dentistry

  • Current Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Certification (as applicable)

  • Completion of required annual continuing dental education units  

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification  

  • Hepatitis Vaccination as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
