Private Care Attendant – Dementia Experience Required (Companion Role)

Key Responsibilities:

• Companion Care: Provide companionship, engage in stimulating conversations, and offer emotional support

• Transportation: Pick up from a care facility, assist with appointments, family visits, and outings (using clients personal vehicle)

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist with showering, toileting, and other personal care tasks as needed

• Patient Redirection: Use patience and compassion to effectively redirect behaviors and manage any challenges that arise

• Flexibility: Be willing to stay longer if necessary to ensure comfort and well-being

Qualifications:

• Experience with Dementia Care: Previous experience working with dementia patients is required

• CPR and First Aid Certification (updated)

• Valid Driver's License & Reliable Vehicle for transportation needs

• Patience & Compassion: Must demonstrate empathy and the ability to redirect when necessary

• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs

Position Details:

• Job Type: Part-Time

• Shift Length: 4-6 hours per shift

• Wage: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
