About the Position:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key executive responsible for overseeing the organization's ongoing operations and procedures. The COO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other senior leaders to drive operational excellence, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure that the company meets its operational goals. This role requires a visionary leader with strong management skills and a proven track record in enhancing business performance.\

Operational Leadership:
● Develop and execute the CEO and Executive Leader’s strategic plans to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness of the firm.
● Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
● Implement policies and procedures to streamline processes and optimize resource allocation.
● Serve as the COO/integrator and primary partner for the firm’s CEO/visionary.
● Evaluate company performance and recommend strategies to improve results.
● Oversee the recruitment process to attract the best candidates and reduce team member turnover.
Financial Management:
● Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure sound financial management.
● Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
● Collaborate with the finance team to monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
● Oversee all streams of income coming into the firm.
● Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Board to improve financial controls and analyze key financial reports to identify inefficiencies in the firm and spot opportunities for improvement to the firm's bottom line.
● Devise strategies to ensure the growth of programs, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs.
Process Improvement:
● Continuously evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement across all departments and levels, as needed.
● Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
● Drive innovation and leverage technology to streamline operations and automate manual tasks.
Risk Management and Compliance:
● Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements at all levels.
● Mitigate risks by implementing appropriate controls and monitoring systems.
● Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards within the organization.
Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
● Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Board to identify growth opportunities.
Requirements:
● Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates a strong aptitude for structuring and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, allowing for the extraction of meaningful insights and conclusions.
● Organization and Planning: Exhibits exceptional skills in planning, organizing, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring efficient and productive operations while keeping sight of the broader strategic objectives.
● Leadership: Displays confident leadership abilities, effectively managing and delegating tasks to support staff. Maintains excellent interpersonal relations and communication with staff.
● Demonstrated experience growing a $10M+ company
● Passion for helping combat climate change
● Knowledge and practical experience of the EOS model
● Solar and/or construction industry experience is strongly preferred
● MBA preferred but not required.
Compensation:
· $100,000-$150,000 annually
*We offer competitive compensation that is commensurate with years of relevant industry experience, skills and qualifications, certifications, and licenses.
