Direct Support Professional

We are looking for an empathetic and committed Direct Support Professional to become a part of our organization.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for offering assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role involves helping them with daily tasks and encouraging self-reliance.

Key Duties:

• Deliver direct care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities including:

  • Personal hygiene assistance

  • Meal planning and preparation

  • Administering medications

  • Providing transportation

• Execute and record individual support plans

• Facilitate involvement in meaningful activities and community events

• Ensure the living environment is safe and tidy

• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and our team members

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Must possess a valid driver's license along with reliable transport.

• Ability to successfully pass a background screening.

• Prior experience working alongside individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, capable of working both independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
