The Assistant Clinical Director serves as a member of the clinical team providing support, guidance, direction, and supervision to assigned Lead Therapists/Therapists. The Assistant Clinical Director is required to provide supervision and direct contact services to individual clients and monitor staff under the direction of the Clinical Director and/or Executive Director. The supervisor must hold a BCBA to be able to write reports, conduct assessments, and supervise Lead Therapist/Therapists. The following are primary duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Clinical Director:
Supervise Clinical Supervisors/Lead Therapist/Junior Leads/Therapists
Perform all duties of a supervisor for assigned caseload
Attend family clinic and meetings to go over Behavior Intervention Agreement goals and objectives
Conduct parent and/or staff training sessions as needed
Conduct bi-weekly inter-observer agreements with Therapists to ensure all data has been filled in correctly and accurately in each data book for each individual family, that there are sufficient data sheets available for each program in each data book, and all data books contain program checklists that are current and accurate
Reviewing monthly report list to ensure assigned Lead Therapists have completed and submitted all reports prior to deadlines
Reviewing progress reports or complete online surveys submitted by assigned Lead Therapists for each individual case prior to deadlines, to be approved by the Clinical Director
Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development meetings as indicated
Overlap and train new Lead Therapists/Therapists
Provide some direct services, if necessary, to supervise more effectively
Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with Lead Therapists
Provide feedback to Clinical Director and/or Executive Director regarding Lead Therapist/Therapists on each case
Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development meetings
Review FBA reports submitted by the assigned assessors and submitting to Clinical Director for approval
Write assessments (FBA’s) as assigned (and to be reviewed/signed off) by the Clinical Director
Ensure that all hours are being provided to the families with minimal or no cancellations and missed sessions are rescheduled
Communicate with the Clinical Director at a minimum of twice per month, or as needed
Report any incidents and behavior emergencies immediately to the Clinical Director
Maintain telephone contact and a reliable method to record scheduled appointments and return phone calls within 24 hours
Maintain reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle
Stand, sit twist, kneel, bend-over, crouch down, walk, & sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time as well as lift, push, and pull up to 40lbs without assistance from another adult
