Test & Release Engineer (d/f/m)

THE TEAM

You will join our Release Management team, dedicated to enhancing the reliability and success of our robotic solutions. You will be part of a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed team focused on upholding high-quality standards through rigorous, automation-driven QA practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Test & Release Engineer at arculus, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and refining quality assurance processes, tools, and documentation for both in-house production and on-site service teams. You will design and implement comprehensive test strategies, create automated test suites, collaborate closely with development teams, and conduct rigorous manual and automated testing to uphold the highest standards of software performance and reliability.

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures, tooling, and documentation for in-house production and on-site service teams
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for thorough software testing by collaborating with development teams, designing effective test cases, and continuously improving processes and tools
  • Prepare and present test and release reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, documenting results, release activities, and lessons learned to improve future processes
  • Manage stakeholder expectations for service procedures and software release updates by aligning on requirements, analyzing needs, and reporting on test outcomes
  • Conduct manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of software applications, identifying, documenting, and tracking defects to resolution
  • Set up and maintain test environments to simulate production conditions, ensuring they are updated with the latest software builds and configurations
  • Collaborate with the team to provide high-quality 3rd-level customer support globally, assist 1st and 2nd-level support teams remotely to resolve critical issues, and monitor software performance post-release to address and resolve production incidents promptly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed a technical degree, ideally with initial experience in production planning or industrial engineering
  • Experienced in continuous improvement processes and quality assurance
  • Skilled in detailed technical reporting
  • Being fluent in written and spoken English, and German is beneficial

DESIRED SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of release testing or quality assurance
  • Solid understanding of stakeholder expectations and deliverables, with an awareness of the consequences of failure
  • Independently determines the approach and execution of assigned tasks
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach
  • Demonstrates strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Possesses excellent negotiation skills
