IT-Expert for IT Factory Services

Client Background 

Our client is a globally recognised leader in speciality chemicals, focusing on the development, production and distribution of high-performance solutions such as varnishes, inks, adhesives and sealants, covering markets such as the packaging industry, medical applications etc… It has production facilities worldwide, in Europe, North and South America, and in China. 

To support their manufacturing facilities, they are looking for an IT expert for factory services. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design and manage IT services for production solutions such as automated warehousing, production reporting, building management, mobile maintenance, and laboratory systems. 

  • Maintain service levels in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), with an emphasis on availability and performance. 

  • Close interaction with specialized departments, in particular operational technology (OT) teams. 

  • Organisation and management of support for the IT services of the plant, including the coordination of external consultants. 

Requirements 

  • Degree in information technology or a similar qualification. 

  • 3 years’ experience in Business IT, and IT & EO architecture (including the Purdue model, ISA 95, and ISO/IEC 62443). 

  • Expertise in the administration and operation of Windows Server-based applications. 

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL and project management, with desired certifications. 

  • Experience and expertise in production IT (automated warehousing, production reporting, building management, mobile maintenance, lab systems…) and IT safety for production facilities. 

  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit. 

  • Fluent in English and German.
