Brief Description/Role Objective: The Director of Sales is a key strategic leader overseeing multiple departments, acting as the General Manager's right hand and providing leadership in their absence. This role focuses on implementing business strategies that enhance financial performance, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency while meeting the brand's standards and expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve outstanding performance. Set ambitious but achievable sales targets, monitor individual and team progress, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Revenue Optimization: Partner with the Revenue Management team to devise competitive pricing strategies, adjust room rates, and implement promotions that maximize profitability while maintaining brand positioning.
- Market Insights and Strategy: Conduct detailed market research to track trends, analyse competitors, and understand customer behaviour. Use this data to craft innovative strategies that drive market share and capture emerging opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals, travel agencies, and event organizers. Pursue and secure long-term contracts and partnerships that align with the hotel's business objectives.
- Sales Analytics and Reporting: Deliver accurate forecasts, regular sales performance analyses, and actionable insights to the management team. Recommend strategies to improve profitability and adapt to market dynamics.
- Collaborative Marketing Initiatives: Work closely with the Marketing team to conceptualize and execute impactful campaigns, events, and promotions that enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Team Development: Oversee training programs to enhance the team's knowledge of luxury offerings, sales acumen, and customer service excellence. Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback to foster growth.
- Event Sales and Management: Develop and execute strategies to attract high-profile events, meetings, and conferences, leveraging the property's unique features to position it as a premier choice for luxury events.
- Budget Oversight: Plan and manage the sales department's budget, ensuring judicious allocation of resources while meeting revenue and expenditure goals.
- Cross-Department Synergies: Facilitate seamless coordination with Operations, Finance, F&B, and other departments to ensure a consistent guest experience and operational synergy.

- Sustainability Advocacy: Incorporate sustainable practices into sales strategies to align with the hotel's corporate responsibility goals.
- Digital Transformation: Leverage data analytics tools and CRM software to enhance sales operations and decision-making.
