Internal Control Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Control Systems Management:

  • Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process integrity.
  • Provide innovative solutions for enhancing control mechanisms to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Systems Adaptability and Automation:

  • Stay ahead of system changes, automation trends, and technological advancements to optimize control systems.
  • Lead initiatives for system updates, patching, and disaster recovery, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum data security.

Risk and Compliance Oversight:

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate risks, focusing on fraud prevention and asset protection.

Risk Management and Fraud Prevention:

  • Actively monitor and analyze systems and processes to detect vulnerabilities and prevent fraud, theft, or any unauthorized actions.
  • Implement proactive controls to address potential financial, operational, and reputational risks.

Continuous Improvement and Influence:

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by seeking out opportunities to enhance processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare detailed reports on control effectiveness, risk assessments, and any system improvements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Internal Control, Risk Management, or Compliance, with a strong preference for candidates from the FMCG sector.
  • Previous experience with one of the Big 4 (EY, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG) is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical skills and experience in systems automation, disaster recovery, and system updates.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
