Senior Tax Manager- Private Clients

Our client specializes in providing fiduciary, advisory, formation, residency, and administrative services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), trusts, foundations, and corporate clients. Further assisting clients in growing, protecting, and transferring their wealth in a complex global landscape.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Manager in the Private Client Tax Team, you will play a critical part in understanding client needs and offering tailored advisory services on tax planning and succession strategies to High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients and families. The role requires a seasoned professional with in-depth expertise in private client tax matters, capable of advising on a broad spectrum of issues and developing customized strategies for clients’ unique needs. Your expertise will help clients navigate local and international tax laws and regulations, ensuring the protection of their corporate and personal wealth globally.

LOCATION

  • The role is to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
  • Occasional travel within the UAE and internationally may be required in line with the firm’s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Services Delivery:

    • Understand client requirements and objectives, preparing comprehensive plans to meet service expectations within agreed timelines.
    • Provide expert guidance on UK residence and domicile matters, ensuring alignment of tax plans with clients’ residency status.
    • Advise on the strategic use of trusts and foundations for asset protection and succession planning.
    • Offer inheritance tax (IHT) planning solutions to optimize clients’ tax positions across generations.
    • Guide clients on partnership incorporations, recommending structures that align with tax and operational objectives.
    • Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize clients’ tax positions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Advise on family investment companies, focusing on tax-efficient investment and succession planning structures.
    • Collaborate with individuals and family offices to gather required documentation and complete assignments.
    • Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes, delivering timely, accurate advice.
    • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations, clearly conveying complex tax concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain a strong client base, managing long-term relationships to identify revenue-generating opportunities.
    • Establish relationships with intermediaries to enhance the company’s profile and attract new clients.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the advisory services client base.
    • Promote a collaborative working environment, leveraging cross-functional expertise within the firm to offer comprehensive solutions.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • External: Clients or client representatives, financial advisors, legal advisors, tax advisors, registered agents, and private banks.
  • Internal: Cross-departmental collaboration to align services and enhance client satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate must have a Minimum of 10-15 years of experience working (or recently have worked) as a Senior Manager or experienced Manager in a private client tax team within an accounting or law firm.
  • Candidate must have experience providing expert guidance on UK residence and domicile matters, ensuring alignment of tax plans with clients’ residency status
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, up-to-date technical knowledge, and a client-focused approach.
  • Strong technical and report writing skills, with the ability to interpret tax legislation and review agreements from a tax perspective.
  • Knowledge of BEPS initiatives and current tax developments.
