Employment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAbout the Role: a manufacturing company in Craiova is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support financial operations, with a primary focus on local (statutory) accounting and taxation. This role is essential for maintaining compliance, assisting strategic financial planning, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register accounting entries, including salaries, VAT, taxes, and state and local contributions.
• Maintain records of fixed assets and assets under construction.
• Process advances and expense reports.
• Verify monthly balance sheets, VAT journals, and reconcile accounts.
• Contribute to the annual inventory and external audit processes.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities (ANAF, local authorities, BNR, and NIS).
• Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting and fiscal legislation.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the financial-accounting department.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Proven background in finance and accounting, particularly in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, resilient under pressure, and deadline-driven.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English (intermediate or above).
  • Preferred: CECCAR certification and experience with local and national reporting requirements.
