Manager – Planning Control & Logistics

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute monthly and weekly production plans, handling resource planning and coordinating across functional departments.
  • Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and review inventory requirements with the Materials department based on the monthly billing plan.
  • Freeze the design inventory of finished goods (FG), semi-finished goods (SFG), and raw materials (ROH) to align with production capacity and customer demands.
  • Ensure shop floor stock accuracy, addressing variances in collaboration with production, stores, and engineering teams.
  • Plan daily dispatches and ensure 100% adherence to customer schedules, monitoring the Schedule of Billing (SOB) as allocated.
  • Review SOB, production, and sales losses, implementing corrective actions with relevant departments.
  • Facilitate new product development by executing sample production as per customer requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and quantity of incoming materials.
  • Prepare reports on monthly sales and production plans and execution.
  • Coordinate the disposal of obsolete, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory with various departments, including Engineering, Production, and Purchase.
  • Maintain and regularly update Bills of Materials (BOM) for all new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with SAP and engineering teams to resolve BOM-related issues.
  • Monitor functional objectives and process measures to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for delivery-related non-conformities.
  • Identify and fulfill training needs for team members to enhance output quality.
  • Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and monitor change management systems.
  • Oversee finished goods (FG) stock in logistics and make necessary corrections in planning.
  • Monitor transporter performance and recommend actions as needed.
  • Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports on plant performance.

Minimum Educational Qualification Required:

  • BE, B.Tech, DEEE, or DECE with 15 to 18 years of experience in the automotive electrical, automotive electronics, or auto component industries.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 15 years of industrial experience, specifically in production planning and materials functions.
