Psychiatry registrar - Madinah, Saudi Arabia

JOB SUMMARY:

A dedicated and skilled registrar in psychiatry would be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric assessment, treatment, and care for patients under the supervision of senior consultants, contributing to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions, engaging in multidisciplinary teamwork, and supporting the delivery of comprehensive mental health services.
 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in the specialized field.
  • Manage complex medical cases independently.
  • Provide leadership in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
  • Contribute to the training and development of medical teams.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants and specialists in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Offer expert consultations on challenging medical cases.
  • Engage in clinical research activities.
  • Contribute to academic programs, teaching, and training initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and adhere to evidence-based medical practices.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities within the medical department.
  • Contribute to decision-making processes related to patient care and departmental policies.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the medical field.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Advocate for patient rights and welfare.
  • Ensure a patient-centered approach in medical care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Lead and participate in emergency medical responses.
  • Provide expertise in critical and urgent medical situations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • minimum of 2 years of experience after a master's degree in the psychiatry specialty.
  • Completion of required period of training in psychiatry.
  • (Arab/Jordanian) Board certification in the relevant medical specialty is typically required or equivalent. fulfilling the criteria for Registrar as required
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must
  • Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

  • From 2 to 4 years of experience after certification.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council is preferable.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
