My client is a leading multi-million dollar product organisation headquartered in the US. They are revamping their entire systems, and building new system from scrtach with latest technologies by growing their engineering team in India with a state-of-the-art global capability center based in Pune.
Project Manager - TPO Team
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with over 17 years of experience in project or portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading project managers, fostering excellent client relationships, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. Proficiency in the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is preferred. This role demands a proactive approach to conflict management, prioritization of tasks, and addressing systemic issues raised by Technical Product Owners (TPOs) efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Cultivate excellent client-facing skills to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Proactively communicate with team members and external stakeholders, addressing conflicts and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Understand and represent the technical challenges faced by the team, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Manage pressure from clients without compromising team morale, effectively escalating issues when necessary.
- Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and others to streamline processes.
- Work collaboratively with teams, even during resource constraints, to ensure project success and maintain productivity.
Qualifications:
- 17+ years of experience in project and portfolio management, with a focus on leading project managers.
- Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage conflicts and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with any project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Atlassian suite etc.
- Understanding of technical aspects to effectively represent team challenges to senior stakeholders. Technical background in development or testing would be an added advantage.
