Regional Area Sales and Product Manager – Romania & Bulgaria - Focus: Engineered Materials - Polymers

Role Overview:
This newly created position is aimed at expanding the company’s presence in the engineered materials sector, specifically within the polymers market in Romania and Bulgaria. The manager will be responsible for acquiring new clients, developing polymer-based products tailored to industrial applications, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients in the designated region. This role envisage expanssion to further territories -Czech Rep, Slovakia, very soon. 

The time involved in travel approx 50-60%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:

    • Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies aimed at increasing market share in Romania and Bulgaria.
    • Set achievable sales targets and KPIs, regularly reviewing performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and preferences.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty.
  • Market Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends in the polymers sector.
    • Analyze competitors’ strategies and market positioning to inform sales tactics and enhance the company’s competitive advantage.
  • Market Expansion:

    • Identify potential new customer segments and geographic regions for market penetration, with a primary focus on Bulgaria and Romania.
    • Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to introduce engineered materials to new clients.
  • Product Knowledge and Promotion:

    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's polymer product portfolio, including key offerings such as Polyamide, POM, PEEK, PPS, PSU, LCPs, PBT, and other polymer compounds.
    • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to support the development of innovative products that meet market demands.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

    • Prepare and present detailed sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
    • Utilize sales analytics tools to track performance metrics and drive informed decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer engagement.
    • Share insights from the field to help inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage sales budgets and expenses, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales goals.
    • Monitor and control spending to stay within budgetary limits while maximizing return on investment.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales management within the engineering materials or manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on polymers.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse cultures and languages.
  • Advanced English proficiency required; knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Bulgarian) is a plus.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving initiatives from concept to execution, demonstrating strong leadership and influencing abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected Average Earnings: €2,500 net.
  • Salary Range: €3,000 – €4,000 net, with a performance-based bonus system (0% – 15% – 25%).
  • Annual Merit Increases: Evaluated in April.
  • Additional Bonuses: 13th salary, along with Christmas and Easter bonuses.
  • Benefits Package: Includes a company car, mobile phone, laptop, travel insurance, life insurance, and vacation bonuses (each €500).
