Head of Architectural Design

Position Overview: The Head of Architectural Design Manager will lead and manage the architectural design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions across various projects. This role requires expertise in architectural design, project management, and team leadership, with a focus on timely, cost-effective, and client-centric project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee architectural projects from concept to completion, managing scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure successful, on-time delivery, aligning with client requirements and project objectives.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of architects, designers, and technical staff.
  • Foster collaboration to drive innovative design solutions and professional growth.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and other departments for seamless project integration.

Design Excellence:

  • Oversee design development, maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Review and approve design documents and specifications.

Client Engagement:

  • Act as the primary contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Present design concepts and updates, incorporating feedback to refine projects.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Implement quality control processes to maintain design accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.

Innovation & Sustainability:

  • Stay informed on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Advocate for sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Allocate team resources to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture or related field; professional certification (e.g., RIBA, AIA) preferred.
  • 8-10 years of architectural design experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role. The candidate must have this experience and be based in UAE.
  • Must have rich experience working in a Consultancy environment.
  • Strong portfolio, including commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and awareness of architectural trends.
