Sales Engineer – Low-Voltage Electrical Components Specialist

Location: Bucharest (responsible for Bucharest and Ilfov County)

Work Structure: Field-Based Sales with a Mix of Office Responsibilities

This is a predominantly field-based role, with approximately 70% of time spent traveling to client sites across Bucharest and Ilfov County. The role requires 3-4 days a week on the road, meeting clients, conducting sales presentations, and managing accounts. The remaining 1-2 days are spent at the office, located in Bucharets for reporting, administrative tasks, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Sales and Building Lasting Client Relationships

Sales & Business Development: Proactive Client Engagement and Sales Growth

  • Identify, approach, and engage potential customers in the designated region (Bucharest and Ilfov County).
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline by prospecting for new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the company's low-voltage electrical components and solutions.
  • Customize sales approaches to address specific client needs and challenges.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.

Client Relationship Management: Fostering Long-Term Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Build trust with clients by providing timely responses, addressing concerns, and offering customized solutions.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize offers, contracts, and proposals based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.

Reporting & Administrative Tasks: Ensuring Accurate and Timely Documentation

  • Keep detailed records of all sales activities, client communications, and market insights within the company's CRM system.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates to the Sales Manager regularly.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation or other materials as needed for clients and internal teams.
  • Manage and monitor sales budgets, expenses, and projections.

Market and Product Knowledge: Staying Ahead of Industry Trends

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market shifts in low-voltage electrical components.
  • Continuously develop technical expertise on the company’s product portfolio and how these solutions meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Provide feedback from the field to the product development and marketing teams to help improve and tailor offerings to customer needs.

Team Collaboration: Contributing to a High-Performance Sales Team

  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing market insights, challenges, and strategies with colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager, HR Manager, and other team members to align on strategies and ensure consistency in the company's sales approach.
  • Support and mentor junior team members when needed, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Required Qualifications: What You Bring to the Role

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Sales Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience in sales, specifically within the electrical components industry (preferably low-voltage systems).
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of low-voltage electrical components and their applications in industrial and commercial settings.
    • Ability to explain and demonstrate complex technical solutions in a clear and engaging way.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
    • Highly organized, with strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
    • Results-driven and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
  • Other Requirements: Valid category B driver’s license, as frequent travel is necessary (70% fieldwork).

Compensation and Benefits: What You Can Expect

  • Salary: 7,000–12,000 RON net per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Bonus Structure: Annual performance-based bonuses linked to KPIs (details to be discussed after the trial period).

Initial Screening: Conducted by Antal via MS Teams, telephone, or email. First Interview: On-site or virtual (via MS Teams) with the HR Manager and Sales Manager. Final Interview: A follow-up interview may be scheduled with the decision-makers, if applicable.

This position is within a high-performing sales team consisting of 8 members. The successful candidate will report directly to both the Sales Manager and the HR Manager and will play an essential role in expanding the company's presence in the Bucharest and Ilfov County region.
