Research Analyst (Venture Capital)

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment.
Identify and evaluate promising startups or companies aligned with our investment criteria through proactive deal sourcing efforts.
Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and emerging technologies to assist in defining investment strategies.
Develop comprehensive financial models, including revenue projections and sensitivity analysis, to assess investment potential and risks.
Prepare detailed investment memos summarizing key findings, investment thesis, and recommendations for the investment committee.
Collaborate with the investment team to provide insights and support during investment decision-making processes.
Monitor and analyze the performance of portfolio companies, track key performance indicators, and provide ongoing support as necessary.

Qualifications:

Graduate from a leading school with an engineering degree and an MBA from a prestigious institution like IIT or IIM.
Previous experience of 2+ years as a Research Analyst in roles associated with management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or similar fields, focusing on research and analysis.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Deep understanding of technology trends, market dynamics, and emerging industries.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of initiative and a drive for excellence.
Moreover, the candidate should possess the ability to effectively collaborate with teams in both the US and India.
