Our client is a dynamic global company, recognized as a leader in the market for customized material handling solutions utilizing spiral conveying technology. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company runs its operations in Romania through the branch located in Jucu, Cluj County.

Drafting Engineer

Location: Jucu

Reporting to: Department Manager

Work Type: Hybrid (1 day/week work from home)

Position Overview

As a Drafting Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and production teams by creating precise and detailed technical drawings and ensuring that all related technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date. You will collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to translate design specifications into comprehensive technical plans and documentation. This includes preparing and maintaining technical documentation that outlines product configurations, dimensions, tolerances, and other critical specifications, ensuring it meets industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product specifications, dimensions, and design requirements.
• Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Ensure that all technical drawings adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
• Modify and revise designs based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Support the production team by providing accurate and clear technical documents and drawings.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation related to product configuration, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure timely delivery of required documentation.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Drafting Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (including product configuration, dimensioning, and drawing).
• Familiarity with engineering concepts, principles, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
