Coronary Care Unit Staff Nurses (CCU Staff Nurses)

Qualifications:

•     Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

•     3 years of experience in the same Field Outpatient Department.

•     Dataflow is a must.

•     Saudi license holder is a plus.

•     Fluent in English

Job description:

• Applying comprehensive assessment to the patient on admission and on daily basis, Applying triaging, and treatment of the Cardiac adult patients.
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Applying nursing procedures related to cardiac area such Echocardiography, Arterial blood gases ,mechanical ventilator ,central venous catheter, chest tube,…..etc
• Preparing equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Responding to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
• Recording all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
• Connecting patients to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information.
• Monitoring and interpret patient data.
• Assessing any potential health problems and needs.
• Performing direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the cardiovascular service line.
• Developing nursing care plans and close monitoring to fluid balance chart.
• Following international standards for Aseptic technique with the patient’s procedures.
• Preparing patients for catheterization, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation and cardiac procedures.
• Obtaining and evaluates ECG and other lab data and notifies cardiologist or attending if necessary.
• Taking the patient's vital signs, oxygen levels and heart rhythm before the physician examines the patient.
• Beginning an intravenous line while preparing patients for a catheterization or cardiac procedure.
• Serving as a Patient Navigator for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED, such as implantable event monitors, pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and wearable external defibrillators).
