Salary: £30,000 annual pro-rata (depending on hours)

Working Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (flexible), ideally across 4 or 5 days (days are negotiable)
A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join a well-established company based in Watford. This is a flexible hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to work from the office 2 days per week, depending on their chosen working schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the finance team with various financial tasks, including:

  • Processing invoices and raising payments to suppliers
  • Maintaining and updating customer and supplier records, managing queries, and reconciling accounts
  • Reviewing and processing employee expenses, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies
  • Managing online banking transactions, including posting receipts and payments
  • Performing month-end reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and major balance sheet accounts
  • Assisting with credit control activities
  • Supporting the year-end audit process
  • Posting journal entries and adhering to strict month-end deadlines

Key Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounts payable management
  • Familiarity with multi-currency, multi-entity environments (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong proficiency with Excel
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Experience with Access Dimensions accounting software (preferred but not essential)
