Sr SRE

THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION BASED IN BANGALORE, INDIA

THE ROLE

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. You will be responsible to understand business requirements, well versed with Incident, change and request management. As part of our tech team you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the growth and success. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Collaborating with software engineers to improve application performance, reliability, and scalability from design to production
• Automating deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes to ensure efficient operations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving incidents related to infrastructure, systems, and applications
• Implementing and monitoring systems to proactively detect and address issues
• Perform root cause analysis for production outages and implement preventive measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents to ensure 24/7 availability. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in SRE

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in  Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role with a focus on building and maintaining backend systems.
• Proven experience in programming skills and languages such as Python or similar.
• Solid understanding of backend development principles, including API design, microservices architecture, and database design.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms using AWS and GCP
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to work with global teams fostering a positive team environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mutlitasker with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
