Lead Development Engineer
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Key Purpose of the Job:
A Lead Engineer is responsible for understanding functional requirements and provide low level design, systems flow chart etc. to implement product features that are secure, scalable, robust and easily maintainable within the committed timelines and quality standards. Supporting the Engineering Manager to manage and execute sprint deliveries by providing inputs for planning and accurate effort estimation is cortical to the role holder.
Educational Qualification / Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 4 to 6 years total experience in software development
- Strong understanding of design techniques and software principles
- Must be able to work effectively in a team setting as well as individually
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with external teams and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for leading scalable technical solutioning for the squad on a sprint on sprint basis
2. Responsible for supporting sprint management and delivery in line with the specifications and timeline while adhering to defined quality standards
3. Responsible for implementation of software development best practices within the squad
4. Responsible for undertaking self development initiatives for professional growth
