Our customer is one of the largest manufacturers of commercial trucks world-wide. In order to strengthen the competence in the area of development of new energy commercial vehicles, they have opened a new R&D Center in Steyr (Upper Austria) that focusses on the development of alternative energy commercial vehicles. Technical Requirements Engineer for Commercial Trucks (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Together with the Development Director play a key role in the definition of future commercial trucks for the worldwide market.
- Working together in international cross-functional teams
- Define the requirements for electrified (and conventional) trucks
- Take part in the definition of future commercial vehicle portfolio
- Benchmarking of commercial vehicles and their subsystems
Your profile:
- Technical education/degree in machine building, mechatronics, electronics or similar
- Several year experience in development of commercial vehicles
- Experience with zero-emission vehicles, powertrain and other components
- Knowledge in calculation of efficiency and range of zero-emission vehicles
- Understanding of European commercial vehicle norms and market requirements
- Fluent English language skills, German an added advantage
- Truck driving license an added advantage
