Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a prominent player in the Romanian agribusiness sector, specializes in transforming raw agricultural materials into high-quality consumer products. With a focus on processing oilseeds like sunflower and rapeseed, they produce a range of refined and unrefined oils, along with essential by-products.Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Romania, Constanta
Workstyle: Hybrid with 1-2 days on site if you are from Constanta. Possibility for remote if you live outside of Constanta, with occasional on-site presence (1-3 days per month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive month-end management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and forecasts.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Extract and analyze both financial and non-financial data, transforming it into actionable insights for business leaders.
• Possess a solid understanding of the budgeting process, including variance analysis against actual results.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting (or willingness to learn).
• Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by the CFO.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to policy development.
• Develop impactful PowerPoint presentations incorporating relevant tables and graphs.

Education/Experience:

• Over 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or Controller.
• Familiarity with BI (Business Intelligence) tools is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
• Expertise in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Additional Information:

• A background in audit is preferred, as the role involves contributing to both internal and statutory audits, with support from Big Four firms for statutory audits.
