Manager / Sr.Managar Audit

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Manager / Senior Manager with expertise in auditing Japanese companies listed on the U.S. Stock Exchange. The candidate will ensure compliance with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) audit standards, while delivering high-quality audit services. The role is based in Tokyo, Japan, and requires a candidate with deep knowledge of both U.S. and Japanese financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audits for Japanese companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges, ensuring adherence to PCAOB and SEC standards.
  • Review and ensure financial statements comply with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee planning, execution, and reporting of audits, ensuring high-quality audit work.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Japan-based teams to maintain the highest level of compliance with U.S. and PCAOB audit standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert guidance on financial reporting and audit issues.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on audit processes, U.S. GAAP, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and regulatory affairs.
  • Monitor changes in PCAOB and SEC regulations and ensure that audits incorporate these updates.
  • Handle risk management and internal control assessment for audit clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Qualification: U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is mandatory.
  • 8-15+ years of experience in auditing, with significant experience auditing Japanese companies listed on U.S. exchanges.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SEC regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple audit engagements and large teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Japanese preferred.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality audit services under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Japanese accounting practices (J-GAAP) is a plus.
