Operations Manager (Agriculture)

Our client is a local business with nearly 30 years legacy in pioneering soil prevention technology.

The job holder would work closely with the CEO and owners to develop and reach short- and long-term goals. He/She will participate in defining the people, tools and equipment needed to accomplish the goals and implementing those recommendations, supervising the team to ensure business development targets are being met, proactively communicating opportunities, concerns and challenges to stakeholders. The operations manager will coordinate with customers, vendors and logistics providers to build a system that meets consumer demand.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with R&D and production team for the supply of the portfolio; Coordinate with CEO to establish priorities and lead key strategic initiatives such as process upgrades or implementation of new IT tools; Cultivate a positive, team-oriented environment; Interface with logistics providers and customer service team to ensure timely and smooth delivery of products, outstanding customer experience; Evaluate new, potential international markets; Create, implement and improve processes and reporting to support the growing and changing organization; Proactively solve problems with excellent communication to both staff and stakeholders, owners; Hiring, training and completing disciplinary action as needed for team members

Qualifications

Relevant degree (Agricultural. life sciences or similar is preferred); 5 years of management experience required, references in both multinational and SME culture is highly desirable; Excellent at communicating in writing and verbally; Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, able to communicate proactively with remote supervisor and in-person team; Experienced in maintaining a positive work environment and people-focused company culture; Native Hungarian, Fluent English.
