Senior Accountant - Hybrid work

Scope of the role:
The position will report directly to the Accounting Manager, tasked with ensuring smooth accounting operations within the company. Responsibilities encompass overseeing monthly financial book closures, annual statutory reporting, and ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and internal policies governing taxation, accounting, and more.

Work style: Hybrid, with 1/2 day/s of remote work

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Execute timely and precise accounting tasks, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, VAT and Tax reporting transactions, Inventories, Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Establish robust accounting control measures to uphold a strong internal control framework, accompanied by thorough documentation.
• Prepare semiannual/annual statutory financial statements in compliance with Romanian legislation standards.
• Prepare and submit all statutory, tax, and other declarations (e.g., D100, D101, D120, D207, D300, D390, D394, Intrastat).
• Participate in the monthly closing process and conduct reconciliations for all general ledger accounts.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison for external audit activities, facilitating necessary information and reports, ensuring timely completion of the annual financial statements audit.
• Ensure all requisite supporting documents are archived to meet fiscal/statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• University Degree (preferably in accounting).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a production-oriented company.
• Strong grasp and professional experience with Romanian accounting and tax legislation, coupled with a good understanding of external audit, internal controls, and reporting procedures; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus).
• CECCAR affiliation/CAFR affiliation is a plus
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of commitment and accountability.
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and possess excellent organizational skills.

• Salary ranging from 8000 - 10.000 ron NET/month
• Meal tickets: 40 ron/workday
• Transport allowance: 250 ron
