Head Supply chain

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an innovative supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives. Identify areas for improvement and recommend initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

2. Team Management: Mentor, guide, and inspire a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance. Set clear goals, provide constructive feedback, and empower your team to achieve their full potential.

3. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods. Continuously evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement strategies where necessary.

4. Inventory Management: Develop effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs. Implement inventory tracking systems and establish processes to maintain accurate records, forecasting demand to ensure smooth operations.

5. Logistics Optimization: Streamline transportation and distribution processes to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs. Collaborate with logistics providers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and monitor performance.

6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Implement robust contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain continuity of supply.

7. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain, identifying opportunities to enhance quality, decrease lead times, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce costs. Implement best practices and innovative technologies to achieve operational excellence.

8. Vendor Performance: Establish performance metrics and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and service level agreements. Conduct regular vendor evaluations and drive improvement initiatives as needed.

9. Cross-departmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, manufacturing, quality assurance, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the supply chain process.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.

2. Proven experience of 12 to 18 years in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

3. Strong knowledge and understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, demand planning, logistics, and distribution.

4. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies that optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.

5. In-depth understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management.

6. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

7. Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements.

8. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

9. Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
