Role Overview: The Assistant Sales General Manager will assist the Sales General Manager in executing sales strategies for our chemical product lines, including Light Liquid Paraffin, Heavy Liquid Paraffin, Lubricant Oils, White Oil & Petroleum Jelly, polymers, plasticizers, surfactants, etc. This role involves leading the sales team, managing key client accounts, and driving revenue growth through effective sales and operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to devise and implement sales strategies for our chemical products, including Light Liquid Paraffin, Heavy Liquid Paraffin, Lubricant Oils, White Oil & Petroleum Jelly, polymers, plasticizers, and surfactants, to achieve revenue and market share targets. Responsible for selling our products in PAN India by acquiring & developing new clientele base.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Analysis: Perform market research and competitive analysis within the chemical industry to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Adjust sales strategies based on market dynamics.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including setting sales targets, forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Reporting: Develop and present comprehensive sales reports, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, R&D, and production teams to align sales efforts with product development and company goals.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving any client issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10-12 years of experience in sales management within the chemical industry, with a focus on polymers, plasticizers, or surfactants, etc.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the chemical sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data, developing insights, and making strategic decisions.
