Overview:
The MTS I, Test Engineer role is an entry-level position focused on supporting the development, testing, and integration of software and hardware activities. This role offers hands-on experience in technical project tasks, particularly within the In-flight Entertainment (IFE) sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with hardware and software integration for new and existing systems under supervision.
- Support testing and integration activities for assigned Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and system functionalities.
- Perform initial testing of development software for responsible LRUs.
- Document and organize testing activities as required.
- Assist in maintaining test rack configurations for system installations.
- Conduct basic software and system testing for IFE functionalities in existing systems.
- Participate in design and development reviews, contributing feedback where necessary.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and help identify system issues for Panasonic Avionics IFE products.
- Learn and assist with creating test procedures based on system requirements and design descriptions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and provide support to overall engineering efforts.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Basic understanding of avionics interfaces and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and standard testing practices.
- Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong willingness to learn and contribute to project tasks.
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with internal personnel.
- Exposure to Database (SQL)
- Expousre to Scrtipting Automation
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Exposure to networking concepts (e.g., Ethernet) and familiarity with communication protocols like ARINC is a plus.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
