Job Description:

Company is seeking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with a minimum of 10 years of proven expertise in the agricultural equipment industry, particularly in power tillers, weeders, and brush cutters. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the agricultural landscape in Bangladesh and a strong network within the industry.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the agricultural equipment sector in Bangladesh. Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to develop actionable insights.
  • Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and penetrate new markets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategies with company objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including distributors, dealers, farmers, and government agencies. Leverage existing networks to drive sales and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Lead sales efforts by actively prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals with customers. Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and incentive programs to drive revenue growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Tractors & product offerings including power tillers, weeders, brush cutters, and accessories. Provide training and technical support to customers and channel partners as needed.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market segments and business opportunities to diversify the company's product portfolio. Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and expansion into untapped regions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach, the sales team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Set clear performance targets, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the agricultural equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices and machinery, particularly power tillers, weeders, and brush cutters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Fluency in Bengali and English languages.
