Finance Director

Your Role:
We are looking for a full-time Finance Director. The candidate will be directly reporting to the Chairman of the Board of the Group and will be responsible for driving business planning, budgeting, financial reporting and analyses, and strategic operational projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Annual business planning and budgeting for the Group in CEE and each of its subsidiaries.
  • Preparation of managerial and statutory reporting, including working with external accountancies and auditors and, as needed, any internal finance and accounting staff.
  • Monthly monitoring of financial performance vs. budget and preparing key managerial reporting and analytics.
  • Management of financial flows, including arranging and executing intra-group financing, expanding and ongoing management of bank accounts, and payment institution relationships.
  • Preparation of materials for existing and prospective investors and lenders.
  • Review and approval of pricing proposals for key merchants, ongoing monitoring and improvement of unit economics.
  • Leading debt fundraising process, liaising with potential lenders and investors on negotiation, due diligence, and coordination of contract signing and disbursement, settlement, and collateral management.
  • Collaboration with holding company corporate service providers.
  • Assuming responsibility as a legal representative of the group subsidiaries, as needed in front of authorities.
  • Coordination of the Group’s key finance initiatives, including:
    • Performance management
    • Defining and optimising pricing with existing and new merchants and e-commerce platforms
    • Collaborating with external vendors and internal product teams on the introduction of new products and features of the product (e.g., insurance, additional services to customers)
    • Identifying opportunities to increase revenues with partners, consumers, and platforms
    • Identifying opportunities to optimise customer care, decision, billing, payment, collection costs, and other variable costs to improve unit economics/contribution; negotiating with third parties to reduce costs of external services
    • Identifying opportunities to reduce fixed costs, including costs of legal services, marketing services, recruiting, bank fees, etc.
    • Improving reporting
      • Ensuring timely managerial and statutory reporting, including selecting and liaising with accountancies in each market to ensure full compliance, defining data requirements for financial reporting, selecting reporting package, leading implementation of IT reporting package to support managerial and statutory reporting
    • Accessing debt funding
      • Identifying prospective lenders/funding partners to provide financing to the group and its subsidiaries, leading negotiation and execution of financing agreements
      • Identifying prospective partners to sell performing and non-performing portfolios to generate additional sources of funding for the business

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business / Management, Masters in Finance or MBA are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years of senior experience in the financial industry or relevant experience in management consulting / investment banking / financial management in fast-growing businesses.
  • Experience in preparation of presentations, strong problem-solving and structuring skills.
  • Experience in debt & equity fundraising processes.
  • Strong reputation and personal network.
  • Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, strong prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in leading or supervising finance and accounting, legal professionals.
  • Attention to detail, focus on results, ready to take on new projects and get things done.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and self-driven and ready to assume responsibility as a key player in the company.
  • Wants to be in a fast-paced environment and ready for a professional and personal challenge.
