Head of Purchase/ Chief Purchase Officer - Real Estate

Job Summary: The company is looking for Head of Purchase who will oversee all procurement activities for the company, ensuring that all materials are acquired at the best possible prices and quality. This role involves developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with various departments to meet the company’s procurement needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of materials and services.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure timely procurement.
  • Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess inventory.
  • Implement and manage procurement software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional with a keen sense of technology who is proficient in using all relevant IT platforms when needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market research, and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
