Pricing, Underwriting & Modelling Actuary
A growing reinsurance company is looking for a seasoned actuary to join its team. This role involves developing advanced pricing models, performing underwriting assessments, and structuring complex products like Insurance-Linked Securities and Parametric insurance. The ideal candidate will drive business strategy, enhance profitability, and improve risk management.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and integrate advanced pricing models for accurate risk assessment and competitive pricing.
Lead underwriting assessments aligned with company risk and profitability goals.
Design and structure complex reinsurance products, utilizing advanced statistical and actuarial techniques.
Analyze data to derive insights for pricing, underwriting, and product development.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, particularly IFRS17.
Collaborate across teams to innovate and implement new products.
Monitor market trends to inform strategies and maintain competitiveness.
Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the company at industry events.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or professional qualifications like FIA, FSA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in actuarial roles, specifically in pricing, underwriting, and modelling.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS17 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
A proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing models and managing complex risks.
Eligibility Requirements:
