Accountant with German

Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks for our German-speaking clients. This includes preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team of 5-6 members under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide support during audits and tax filings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their accounting needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on German-speaking clients.
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
