SAP BW Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BW Developer to join our dynamic team in Romania. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP BW and a strong understanding of its integration with SAP's broader Business Intelligence stack. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of BW4 Migration projects, including data extraction, model design, and report development. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of SAP BW4 Migration projects, including planning, execution, and delivery phases.
• Workshop Planning: Design and conduct workshops to gather requirements and define project backlogs.
• Design & Configuration: Develop data models, configure systems, and design reports and user experiences. Create functional and technical specifications.
• Data Management: Oversee data extraction from SAP and non-SAP sources, handle delta management, and perform BW data flow modeling.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance, including HANA modeling and BW data lifecycle management.
• System Monitoring: Administer and monitor SAP BW systems, manage process chains, and address system issues.
• Reporting Solutions: Design and develop reporting solutions using SAP front-end tools such as WEBI or Design Studio.
• Integration: Handle project interfaces with SAP and non-SAP systems and understand SAP Extraction and ODP frameworks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business users to contextualize technology solutions, articulate business value, and address functional process needs.

Required Experience:

• SAP BW Expertise: Proven experience as an SAP BW Application Specialist with a deep understanding of SAP BW features, limitations, and best practices.
• Project Experience: At least 2 full lifecycle project deliveries, including BW4 Migration projects.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with data extraction, BW data flow modeling, BEx query design, and performance optimization.
• SAP Modules Knowledge: In-depth experience with SAP Finance and Logistics data, including SAP tables, views, extractors, and standard reports.
• ABAP Understanding: Ability to understand and work with ABAP codes.
• Reporting Tools: Experience developing reporting solutions in WEBI, Design Studio, or other SAP front-end tools.
• System Integration: Experience with interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems and familiarity with the SAP Business Technology Platform.

Education and Certifications:

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
