Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Creating detailed designs and drawings for structures such as offshore platforms, pipelines, and storage tanks; and performing structural analysis to ensure that designs can withstand environmental forces and operational loads.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the construction and installation of structures to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections of existing structures to identify and address any potential issues and developing maintenance plans to ensure the longevity and safety of structures.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring all designs and constructions comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support during the construction and operational phases of projects and troubleshooting and resolving any structural issues that arise during the lifecycle of the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications/ licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) license with a focus on structural engineering.
  • Experience: At least ten years of professional experience in structural engineering or related fields, particularly in the oil and gas industry, is crucial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and CAD tools and strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication and ability to work in a multicultural environment

Specific working conditions:

  • Rotation offshore: 28/28 or Office work (40h/per week)
  • Transportation costs paid from home location to work location
  • Expenses fully covered during rotation
  • Competitive salary – Expatriation package negotiable for non-residents
