Reservoir Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Reservoir Modeling: Creating detailed models of underground reservoirs using geological and seismic data   and Simulating reservoir performance to predict future production and optimize recovery strategies.
  • Field Development Planning: Designing and planning the development of new wells to maximize production; and implementing enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, such as water flooding or CO2 injection, to improve recovery rates.
  • Reserves Estimation: Estimating the amount of recoverable oil and gas in a reservoir and conducting economic evaluations to determine the feasibility of development projects.
  • Production Optimization: Monitoring reservoir performance and making adjustments to optimize production rates and collaborating with production engineers to design and implement production strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing production data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Technical advisory: Preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Working closely with geologists, geophysicists, and other engineers to integrate data and develop comprehensive reservoir management plans and implement management strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: SPE Certified Petroleum Engineer or Certified Petroleum Reservoir Engineer (CPR) are desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering or related fields
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and other engineering tools such as Eclipse, CMG, or Petrel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and develop strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines, excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

  • Rotation offshore: 28/28
  • Transportation costs paid from home location to work location
  • Expenses fully covered during rotation
