Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing - International Hotel Group in Rome

For an International Hotel Group, we’re looking for a:

Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee sales and marketing operations for three city hotels in Rome. This leadership role is pivotal in driving business growth, maximizing revenue, and spearheading the development of new hotel openings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and group sales, with a preference for experience within a hotel chain.

Main duties:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve business objectives and increase market share across the three hotels.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on the expansion and successful launch of new properties.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the sales and marketing teams across all three hotels, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Revenue Maximization: Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance the brand's reputation and drive business growth.
  • Brand Positioning: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels and activities.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and campaign effectiveness for the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and General Managers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the General Managers of each hotel to align sales and marketing efforts with operational objectives.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on MICE and group sales.
  • Prior experience working with a hotel chain is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
