About the role

We seek a proactive Finance Supervisor with a strong accounting background to supervise our finance and accounting team. This role involves active participation in financial reporting, overseeing the General Ledger (GL), and ensuring compliance with finance policies, procedures, and strategies specific to the automotive industry and NIO Group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver robust Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (B/S), providing timely insights on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making on a monthly basis.

General Ledger Oversight

  • Oversee the management of the General Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts, including but not limited to inventory, warranty reserves, and service revenues, to identify discrepancies.
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and adjustments.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of intercompany accounts and balances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and best practices specific to the automotive industry and NIO Group.
  • Overseeing the accounting process and ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Actively participate in budget planning and re-forecasting processes during quarterly financial reviews.

Statutory Compliance

  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure adherence to all auditing requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Act as a mentor and coach for junior finance team members.
  • Provide guidance and support during monthly book closings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) will be preferred.
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Manufacturing or trading company experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in using SAP is a must.
  • Excellent collaborative skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Corporate finance acumen to enhance balance sheet and P&L management
  • Highly numerate.
  • Flexible and able to manage tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus
