Our client is multinatinal company, a leader in a cutomer goods/apparel segment. They have 2 legal entities in Hungary after an international merge process. The new Lead Accountant would bes responsible for these companies, reporting directly to regional Head of Finance.
The main role purpose is to maintain effectiveness of the controls and operating accounting procedures, ensuring compliance and supporting the management reporting activities. To make sure that financial accounting related tasks being processed in accurate and timely manner, by following the process documentations, company policies.
Main tasks:
Review of local contracts and agreements, ensuring proper coordination with internal business centre for postings; Work closely with all processes to ensure compliance and improvements, liaising with local business functions (like AP, AR); Facilitate statutory reporting and lead the annual statutory audit activities; Review local tax filing and declarations including corporate Income tax, VAT and all other applicable local tax; Support the tax team on the tax audits and support the country management on various government inspections; Supervise AP invoices checks and approvals (PO and POR approvals); Act as project manager on dedicated streams with regional/shared business centre and Business on specific topics, monitoring business flows; Assist Head of Finance with Budgeting/Forecasting, providing info requested from the controlling department; Manage cash flow forecasting and other banks accounts management activities (payments list preparation, bank payments reconciliation and similar); Support month-end closing process (only AP); Identify and resolve issues, not only report problems.Requirements:
Relevant degree (Economist, Business administration, etc); Experience with SAP; 5+ years of experience in similar role (senior accountant or chief accountant); Strong problem solving skills; Solid experience with Excel; Fluent English, native Hungarian.Location:
