Job Title: Head of Projects - abCoffee (Mumbai) - QSR Industry Preferred (6-Day Workweek)
About the role: We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Head of Projects to lead and manage all aspects of our deck development and expansion initiatives. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of success in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry.
Qualifications: • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the QSR industry. • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing multiple complex projects on time and within budget. • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and permitting requirements. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. • Experience with QSR operations is a plus
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution: o Oversee the entire cafe development lifecycle, from site selection and permitting to construction, equipment installation, and grand opening. o Manage a team of project professionals (e.g., architects, engineers, contractors) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. o Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets for new cafe openings and renovations. o Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
Site Selection & Lease Negotiation: o Collaborate with real estate teams to identify and evaluate potential cafe locations based on market research, demographics, and strategic goals. o Negotiate favourable lease terms with landlords and property owners.
Construction Management: o Oversee the construction process, ensuring compliance with all building codes and regulations. o Manage relationships with contractors and vendors, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship. o Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
Inventory & Equipment Management: o Develop and manage systems for acquiring and installing equipment for new and existing cafes. o Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies
Budget Management & Reporting: o Develop and manage project budgets and track project expenses. o Prepare regular reports on project progress, including timelines, budgets, and potential risks
High Leadership & Flexibility: o Provide strong leadership and direction for the project management team. o Be adaptable and flexible to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. o Willing to work a 6-day workweek to ensure project success.
