POSITION SUMMARY:
· A tool repair professional diagnoses and makes repairs all tools and equipment used by the utility line workers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· A Tool repair professional must be able to read manuals
· Disassemble tools, and use testing devices, such as ammeters and voltmeters, to identify problems.
· To include but not limited to all tools and equipment used by the utility line workers.
· They will be responsible for rebuilding defective mechanical parts and rewiring electrical systems, including soldering or coating wires for proper installation.
· Tool repair technicians also must prepare paperwork and keep stock of parts. User windows based computers and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
· 2-year degree and on-the-job training required, 1-2 years Warehouse Experience preferred.
· Computer skills/Data Entry (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Outlook, etc.) with the ability to learn new software programs.
· Good Communication, Organizational, Time Management, and Basic Mathematical skills.
· Mechanical and technical skills, problem solving, active listening, finger dexterity
Physical Demands & Abilities:
· Must be able to lift and/or move packages or objects from 10 to 100 lbs.
· Required to Stand, Walk, Stoop or Kneel on a daily basis.
